Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics
Aims & Scope
The Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics (ISSN 0976-1594) is a peer-reviewed international journal. The journal aims to publish findings of research investigators with expertise in the biostatistical, bioinformatical and biomathematical aspects of clinical, basic science, population science research among others.
The aim of first section of BioSIM: Biostatistics is to advance statistical science and its application to problems of human health and disease, with the ultimate goal of advancing the public's health, including basic biomedical sciences. Topics include (but not limited to) developments in likelihood methods for inference, epidemiologic statistics, clinical trials, survival analysis, and statistical genetics. Papers should focus on methods and applications.
The aim of second section of BioSIM: Bioinformatics is to publish the highest quality research papers and review articles of interest to academic and industrial researchers and educators in the life sciences. Although the possible set of paper topics is large and we encourage submission on any area within the scope of bioinformatics and computational biology. Topics include (but not limited to) new developments in genome bioinformatics, computational biology, DNA sequencing, expression profiling, alignment methods, gene expression studies, protein profiles and HMMs, metabolic and signalling pathways, structure and function prediction, mapping and microarrays.
The goal of third section of BioSIM: Biomathematics is to present the latest achievements in biomathematics, facilitate international academic exchanges and promote the development of biomathematics. Areas of biology covered include, mathematical ecology, infectious disease dynamical system, biofluids, cell biology, physiology, neurobiology and behaviour, development, ecology, population biology, genetics and evolution, epidemiology, immunology, molecular biology, DNA and protein structure and function, and more.
Contributions are invited from researchers all over the world. All submitted manuscripts will undergo review process and the publication decision will be adjudged by quality, novelty, suitability and interest.
Frequency: The Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics is published quarterly in one volume annually appearing in March, June, September and December.
